Yesterday, Nov 28, Cristina took part in the tribute to Queen. And she performed songs as: I want to break free, Under pressure, Who wants to live forever, Innuendo, We are the champions, and Bohemian Rhapsody.
We all hope that soon more information about that performance will be available.
Also, soon Cristina will have a concert with Rezophonic Dec 4, at Fabrik, Moncalieri, Torino, and also will take part in a concert dedicated to a birthday of the ROCK TV channel, Dec 12, at Alcatraz, Milan.
LACUNA COIL singer, cover girl, and animal defender Cristina Scabbia is the star of a brand-new public service announcement for peta2, the world's largest youth animal rights organization. In the ad, Scabbia urges shoppers to seek out only cruelty-free products and appears above the tagline "Animal Testing Breaks Hearts."
Scabbia, who cowrites an advice column for Revolver magazine, doesn't hesitate to advise against animal testing. "I am only human," she says. "But it feels obvious to me that testing on innocent animals for the sake of our own beauty is absolutely inhumane."
Mice, rats, rabbits, and guinea pigs are burned, blinded, and beheaded to test personal-care products such as shampoo and mascara. No law requires manufacturers to test these items on animals, and hundreds of companies have pledged to use only modern, effective, non-animal tests.
Cristina Scabbia is among the guest vocalists who will participate in the second "Christmas Metal Symphony" show, set to take place on Sunday, December 20, 2009 at 013, Tilburg, Holland. As was the case with last year's event, the singers will be backed by a six-piece band and a 30-piece classical orchestra as they perform some of the finest heavy metal and hard rock songs of all time. This unique show will contain songs from all metal genres — from prog-metal to rock, from death to speed and from industrial to symphonic.
Commented Cristina, "I'll be performing some LACUNA COIL songs and other rock and metal classics with other artists and musicians backed up by a FULL orchestra!! You can't miss it; it's gonna be FUN!"
Confirmed singers for this year's "Christmas Metal Symphony" show:
Charlotte Wessels (DELAIN)
Damian Wilson (THRESHOLD)
